Notes - !NOTES:I don't have proof of Edward's parents. Census analysis suggests it is either Joseph Graham (c1794) and wife Clarissa Skipper or James Graham (1784/90) and wife Delilah. See 1820 & 1830 entries below for analysis.
!CENSUS:1820 *
* Edward should be about 4 or 5, thus in the 0-9 age group (1810/1820).
(1) James Graham Sr (1784/90) s/o Joseph & Margaret, and wife Delilah has a son 1815/1820 with him in 1820.
(2) Joseph Graham (c1794) s/o John & Martha, and wife Clarissa Skipper has two sons 1815/1820.
(3) Robert Graham (1790/94) s/o Joseph & Margaret, and wife Jane has one son 1810/1820. Gone by 1830 so probably not Edward.
(4) Joseph Graham Sr (1784/90) s/o Joseph & Margaret, and wife have two sons 1810/1820, both gone by 1830, and neither named in Joseph's estate records, so this is probably not Edward's parents.
(Conclusion). Based only on the 1820 census, Edward F. Graham would have to be a son of James or Joseph (1794).
!CENSUS:1830 *
* Edward should be about 14 or 15, so in the 10-14 category (1815/1820) or 15-19 (1810/1815).
(1) Joseph Graham (c1794) s/o John & Martha, and wife Clarissa Skipper has two sons 1815/1820 both gone by 1840.
(2) James Graham Sr (1784/90) s/o Joseph & Margaret, and wife Delilah has a son 1815/1820 with him in 1830, gone by 1840.
(Conclusion). Either of the above (James and Joseph) could be Edward's parents. However, since James was in NC in 1830, and Edward's wife was from NC, perhaps that gives more weight toward James being Edward's father. However, Edward's 1st son was named Joseph.
