Of the daughters, the oldest, Nettie Bethea, married Rev. Pierce F. Kilgo, a Methodist preacher of the South Carolina Conference, and is now stationed at Williamston and Belton, and is said to be a fine preacher ; they have several children. Georgia, the younger daughter, married W. T. Bethea, her first cousin, who is, and has been, for several years, agent for the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Company at Dillon, and has been Mayor of the town for three or four years. They have three children, sons, and are doing well. W. T. Bethea is the grand-son of the writer. ;
