- !NOTES:I don't know for certain that Benjamin Lewis is the Lewis who married Elizabeth Bonner before 1738, but it fits in certain ways, and I haven't found a better candidate. The evidence is circumstantial at best;
!NOTES:There is a possibility that Benjamin is the father of Jacob Lewis (c1740) of New Hanover Co., NC. I can't prove it, but certain things make it seem possible, though far from proven;
