I don't know who placed it or when, but it was at least a couple of generations after their deaths. I also don't know if it replaced an old stone. Oddly, the newer stone was lost for a number of years, a tree having grown up around it and covered it over. A storm knocked down the tree exposing the stone again.; !FAMILY BIBLE RECORDS: The William Carpenter Family Bible contains the Names and Birth Dates for Jacob and Susanna's children. The Marion Taylor Davis Family Bible contains the marriages for those same children. These are cited in "The Davis Family Record" p. 10-12.
