Evidence in favor of her being a child of Peter Stroud (Jr):
1. Jane's husband William Garrett was probably a brother to Joseph Garrett who married Sarah Stroud. Sarah is a proven child of Peter.
2. Her birth date of ca 1794/1796 limits the possibilities to only Peter Stroud Jr. The only Strouds in the region with children on the 1800 census were Peter Sr, Peter Jr and Jesse. Peter Sr and Jesse's children are proven by their Wills, and neither mention Jane. That leaves Peter Jr.;
