  !NOTES:B/D is 25 Dec 1807 per tombstone. It is more likely that the year should be 1806 for the 1860 and 1870 census show him as 53 and 63, and since both were as of June, he wouldn't have been 53 or 63 yet in either case if born in Decemeber 1807. He would have been 52 and 62 if that year is correct. Therefore it's probably off. !NOTES:John Stroud is a proven son of Peter Stroud Jr and Margaret Curtis. John Stroud and wife Delilah (Bright) were the addressees of the 1838 letter from James and Rebecca (Stroud) Mashburn, in which they referred to them as "brother and sister" and spoke of many Strouds including "mother" who was then living with Joshua Curtis.
