      !NOTES:I don't know for certain that Phillip is the father of Granville and Matilda, but it fits really well.
      Pros:
      1) Granville C. Davis (1826) and Matilda (1820) are proven siblings to each other (per her T/S).
      2) Phillip Davis has otherwise unidentified children their age with him in 1840.
      3) Phillip and Granville were next door neighbors in 1860.
      4) Phillip named a son Humes, so did Granville.
      Cons:
      1) Both Granville and Matilda listed their father's birth place as SC on their 1880 census entry. Phillip was born in NC per all his census records. Granville's 1910 census also lists his father born in SC.;
