Notes - !NOTES:In 1860 was next to James Turner (c1836) who was next to Hugh E. Turner (c1793). Hugh could be Benjamin's father. In fact, I think Hugh has to be his father:
(1) Hugh does have a son Benjamin's age in 1830 and 1840 who is otherwise unidentified.
(2) They were neighbors in 1860.
(3) Benjamin's daughter Jane Drusilla (c1847) was living with Hugh in 1850 and 1860.
(4) Benjamin's son Hugh Wally Turner is living with Frances (1826), Hugh E. Turner's daughter, listed as nephew in 1880 and she is with him in 1900 listed as aunt.;

McLaughlin decd 950a 31 Mar 131, waters of the Mill Branch bounded on the north by Elizabeth Kennedy and Adam Turner, and on the south by Margaret A. McLaughlin and west by Margaret McLaughlin.

* The above deed suggests that Benjamin's wife (also named Jane D. McLaughlin) had died, and as he was probably leaving her with her relatives, he was making provision for her. He married again within 2 years, but is not found anywhere on the 1850 census, so I don't know if Jane lived with him or not. She is with Hugh & Frances Turner in 1850 and 1860, her grandparents.;
