  • Notes
    • !NOTES:Lived in what is now Shenandoah Co., VA,
but was part of Orange County until 1738 when Augusta and Frederick were formed.
Frederick organized in 1743, and Augusta in 1745. His land was apparentely in both counties
as there are duplications of his land records in both until 1754 when the border was adjusted and
Frederick got a good portion of what had been considered Augusta until then.
      - In 1772 Dunmore County was formed in the area.
      - In 1778 Dunmomre was renamed Shenandoah.

      From his geni.com page:
"His plantation was situated Northwest of the site of Newmarket, where Cedar Hill is yet known as Cedar Grove, and extended beyond the site of Quicksburg, near which village Holman's Creek empties into the river."
      - Note his Geni page contains some good documentation.

"North River, Shenandoah, vulgo. Cockel Town in Orange county, in the Colony of Virginia"

!NAMED:Isaac Hoolman son of Daniel Hoolman
