From "Charleston Wills", Vol. 32, p. 875, 023485; South Carolina Department of Archives and History, Columbia, South Carolina - verbatim:
"WILL OF THOMAS BLACKMON SENR.:
I Thomas BLACKMON Sen'r. of St. James Parish Goose creek do hereby revoke and disannul all other wills by me heretofore made and do hereby declare this to be my last Will and Testament and first I leave and bequeath to my beloved Wife Mary BLACKMON one tract of land on the road leading from Wafsamsaw ford to Charleston on which I now reside containing one hundred Acres with all appertenances thereto belonging. Secondly I give to my Son John BLACKMON one tract of Land on the West side of Wafsamsaw Swamp on which he now lives containing three hundred & twenty nine Acres. Thirdly I give to my Son Thomas BLACKMON one Tract of land containing two hundred and Seventy five Acres on which he now lives. Also two other tracts of land one containing One hundred Acres joining to the tract known by the name of the Old Mill Purchased by me from William SIMS, The other containing One hundred and fifty Acres originally granted to myself Fourthly I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Ann BLACKMON the moneys due me from Mr. Henry PERKY by Sale of my lands in St. John's Parish to him the said PERKY. And Lastly I give and bequeath all my Personal Property to be equally divided Share and Share alike between my Wife Mary BLACKMON and my three Children John BLACKMON, Thomas BLACKMON and my daughters (sic) Sarah Ann BLACKMON and after the decease of my Wife her Share of my Estate to be disposed of as she may think best or most agreeable to her between my Surviving Children, And I do hereby Nominate and appoint my Sons John BLACKMON and Thomas BLACKMON Executors to this my last Will and testament.
